Don’t mess with Shigure

A few days later, Shigure had to go on another patrol around the border of Tlyaph Mountains. He was taking careful steps and made sure he didn’t miss any sign of trouble around here. Despite being so high up, today was a warm and calm day. No signs of any thunder storms or trouble at the moment, though, black clouds slowly made their way to the mountains. It would be pretty back when it started raining while Shigure is still on patrol since the mountainsides would get very slippery. So he tried to speed up his walking but still checking every suspicious signs or sounds. It didn’t take long for another intruder to show up; a very big Druddigon suddenly appeared. The moment is saw the other dragon; it started growling and readied itself for a battle. Sighing, Shigure was already ready for a fight but tried to solve the problem with words first. “Before you get yourself in trouble, stranger, it would be the best if you’d just stop growling and go back where you came from.” He said to the other Pokémon.

Though, the Druddigon would not listen. Instead it replied with a grin “Your threat means nothing to me. Only cowards avoid fights with words!” With that, it charged at Shigure with full speed and knocked him over with the help of a Night Slash. It was super effective against the Dragon/Ice/Ghost type who hit the floor hard. Grunting, Shigure got up again and wished some dirt off his face. “Is that all you got, intruder?!” he taunted and countered with a Dragon Claw. As the attack hit the Druddigon, it yelped in pain but grinned at the same time. Shigure could feel a sharp pain in his claws and stumbled backwards, figuring out what just happened. “It seems that my Rough Skin is a too strong and thick for your little claws, Shigure!” It taunted and sent Shigure flying against the wall with its tail. The defender hit the wall hard which caused a few stones to come loose and fall down onto the battlefield. He avoided the falling rocks only to meet another Night Shlash from the Druddigon which made him stumble backwards again. Shigure fell over a rock that was lying behind him and landed on his back. His opponent walked over to him and grinned “You’re not so strong after all, huh?” It taunted and suddenly its claws began to glow as well, preparing to use Dragon Claw.

Shigure growled, looking at the Druddigon with anger. “You think you can beat me that easily huh, intruder?!” He spat and could feel a strange power within him awakening. It was a weird sensation that wanted to be unleashed, for him it felt like a much stronger version of his Dragon Rage. The intruder could sense that something was going on inside of its opponent and looked quite confused at the Pokémon in front of him. As Shigure opened his mouth, a powerful Dragon Pulse was released, sending his enemy flying across the battlefield. It crashed against a boulder, making it crumble into pieces. The Druddigon shook of the smaller stones and stood up, growling. “Interesting. It seems that you just learned a new move, huh?” It taunted as they both were circling one another. Shigure replied with a grin “Your Rough Skin won’t hurt me anymore, Druddigon. Now, leave this place or you might regret it.” Again, it would not listen at all and charged at Shigure who was ready to dodge the charge but failed. As the Druddigon jumped at the other Pokémon, they both curled up in what looked like a ball and fought against each other up close. Suddenly, it started to rain, making the terrain slippery. They were so focused on fightning that they didn’t even realise they were heading towards a cliff. It didn’t take long for the two dragons to fall off of it, hitting multiple rocks on their way down. As they both landed on solid ground, they were knocked out unconscious.

The Druddigon was the first who woke up but was too injured to even consider fightning against the still motionless Shigure. It got up and walked away, limping as its legs were badly hurt. After quite a while, the other dragon slowly regained his consciousness. He held his head in one hand and wondered where he was exactly. The last thing he remembered was their fight and their fall down a cliff. Shigure looked up only to see that the mountains were covered by a thin layer of clouds. He was pretty deep inside of the forest that leads to Tlyaph Mountains. The only problem was to find the right path to get back home. As Shigure got up, he whined in pain, his whole body was covered in cuts and bruises but still he had to stay strong. He started to walk slowly towards the path in front of him, wondering where that Druddigon went. Due to his injuries, he could only move forwards at a slow and steady pace not wanting to worsen his wounds. Shigure had to stay on high alert because he would have a hard time fighting against other Pokémon. Surprisingly, the rain had stopped but the dark clouds were still up in the sky which made it hard to tell how late it really was. The dragon decided to find a cave where he could stay for the night and after a long search he found one. It appeared to be empty, so he went into the cave and leaned against the wall. The moment he closed his eyes, he was fast asleep. His body was indeed tired from all of the walking and fighting today.

The next morning was a pain for Shigure. His whole body hurt and he had a hard time getting up from his sleeping position. He carefully cleaned his body from dirt as well as dust and then walked out of the cave in order to get back to his home. The whole time he felt like someone was watching him, so he frequently turned around to see if someone or something was there but every time he looked behind him, nothing was there. Weird, he thought to himself and continued to follow the path that would lead to his home eventually. “Well, who do we have here? If this isn’t Shigure.” The dragon heard from within the trees. “Show yourself!” Shigure demanded. From the trees, the same Abomasnow he fought a couple of days ago emerged from the trees. Shigure grinned “We meet again, huh?” The Grass/Ice Pokémon smiled and spoke “Indeed but this time, I am not alone. Your injuries are pretty bad, dragon. My friend and I will teach you a lesson this time.” Suddenly another Pokémon came out from the trees; it was a mean looking Cofagrigus. “So, this is the dragon that cut off some of your icy leaves some days ago?” it said to its friend who nodded. “It seems that you are only brave enough to challenge me when I am hurt, Christmas tree. Bring it on!” Shigure stated and was ready to fight both of them.

“Your confidence is admirable, Shigure, though, your oversized ego is definitely not!” the Ghost type said, sending a Will-O-Wisp in the dragon’s direction. Shigure dodged the levitating balls of fire and was about to use his new Dragon Pulse but got interrupted by the Abomasnows Ice Shards. Shigure used his wings to block the shards but got hit by the Cofagrigus’ Dark Pulse. Stumbing backwards, the dragon leaned against one of the trees. I cannot fight them like this, he thought to himself. He needed a plan, now. Both enemies could hit him with super effective moves, so he had to be extra careful. “Out of breath already, dragon?” the Abomasnow taunted and his friend laughed mischievously. “As if, Christmas tree. I am getting warmed up, that is all.” Shigure spat, letting his teeth glow red and then charged at the Ice Pokémon. For the duo, the dragon acted way too fast and it caught them off guard. The Abomasnow yelped in pain as Shigure bit it hard with the Fire Fang. The Cofagrigus blew the dragon away with a powerful Ominous Wind. Shigure let go of the Ice Pokémon, grunting in pain and growling at the Ghost Type.

Yet again he began to feel another sensation inside of him, this time it was way darker and otherworldly. “I have enough of you two. You are only obstacles in my way!” Shigure shouted at the duo. Hissing, he opened his mouth and a weird looking, black dust materialized in front of it. As the dust formed a somewhat ball, he spat it directly at the Cofagrigus. The Shadow Ball hit it right in the face, sending it flying against some trees. Shigure then turned his attention back to the Ice Pokémon which was already charging up an Ice Beam. The dragon was too fast for it and attacked it straight with a Dragon Claw, cutting off some leaves again. As the Cofagrigus got up, it was about to send a Shadow Ball in Shigure’s direction but the dragon countered it with its own, recently learned Shadow Ball. This time, it knocked the ghost type unconscious and now it was only Abomasnow versus Shigure again. “You will pay for this!” the Ice type assured the dragon but it only laughed. “Your threats mean nothing, Abomasnow. Now bring it on!” Shigure taunted. While Abomasnow was about to use is Wood Hammer, the dragon used his Dual Chop to interrupt it and then finishing it off with a Dragon Pulse. The Ice type collapsed, lying on the ground unconscious just like his friend now.

Shigure was breathing heavily, the fight did exhaust him. As soon as he caught his breath, he started to walk away from the battlefield, leaving the duo behind him. He wanted to leave this forest very bad now as it was full of threats and he was still injured and now exhausted. Shigure came across a huge tree where he sat down to rest for a few hours. He leaned against it and closed his eyes, relaxing. After a few minutes, Shigure was fast asleep. After about 30 minutes, he woke up again and stretched, feeling much better now due to his little nap. Slowly, he got up again and continued to follow the path home. He really hoped to not encounter another Pokémon that was bad news or wants to fight without even trying to talk first. Finally he found the mountain path that leads to his home, he was relieved to see that he was soon home. After a few hours he could see the buildings in his camp and was very happy to finally go home and relax. The moment he arrived in his own home, he fell into his bed, completely exhausted and fell asleep immediately. Hoping the next patrol wouldn’t be that hard.
